Frankfurt Light + Building 2026: A Successful Fair
A-ONE Manufacturer
Mar 17,2026
A-ONE's participation in Light + Building 2026 has come to a successful close. For us, it was an invaluable opportunity for in-depth exchanges with industry professionals. Amid the current global lighting landscape, the sector faces major challenges. These include the EU’s Ecodesign rules and the full shift to ESPR requirements. There are also rising demands for smart building technology management, such as GTB in France. The sector also faces an ongoing shortage of skilled installers. Simply selling luminaires is no longer enough — the real focus now is on delivering complete lighting solutions.

What visitors experienced at our stand 10.3 C41E
We designed the booth as an open space for dialogue and hands-on interaction. Rather than displaying cold technical specs, we emphasised direct, tangible engagement. Visitors were invited to sit down and explore product details with our team. This hands-on approach — adjusting settings and feeling the results — helped them understand how our industrial design optimises the entire chain: from initial planning and bulk purchasing to on-site installation and long-term maintenance.
We listened closely to visitors' real-world challenges, including:
- Meeting increasingly strict GTB requirements for building management systems in France
- Covering multiple applications with one product range to reduce stock variety and tied-up capital
- Ensuring compliance with European high-voltage regulations while maintaining healthy margins and fast delivery
- Overcoming installer shortages to complete projects more quickly and safely
These conversations shaped truly tailored OEM/ODM solutions — not off-the-shelf templates, but genuine competitive advantages born from real needs. Visitors could truly sense what we mean by “China Ingenuity”: in the context of green building trends, using light that carries warmth to convey genuine human care and empathy. Face-to-face discussions like these often prove far more convincing than any brochure.

Be Electrified – Electrifying Places. Illuminating Spaces
Under the event motto "Be Electrified – Electrifying Places. Illuminating Spaces.", the fair highlighted sustainable energy infrastructure, smart building connectivity, and innovative lighting design — with a strong emphasis on efficient power solutions and the emotional impact of light. Together with industry partners, three core themes emerged: Sustainable Transformation, Smart Connectivity, and Living Light. We aligned our stand presentations closely with these themes, showcasing how our products contribute.

Sustainable Transformation
This theme focuses on electrifying, decarbonising, and sustainably modernising existing buildings — exactly the core of A-ONE's green lighting approach. Europe is in a critical shift from energy efficiency to net-zero, so we go beyond luminaires to offer a complete carbon-reduction strategy.
High efficacy and resource savings:
Our high-efficacy LED core components, featuring luminous efficacy ≥100 lm/W, optimise the conversion of energy to light and significantly reduce indirect carbon emissions during building operation. With a service life exceeding five years, we minimise replacement frequency, raw material consumption, transport emissions, and long-term maintenance impacts.
Precise sensing and active energy management:
Integrated PIR or high-sensitivity microwave sensors in downlights and ceiling fixtures enable "on when needed, off when not" control, turning buildings from energy consumers into efficient, low-carbon systems.
Modular design and supply-chain efficiency:
We demonstrated how our Modular Downlight series adapts — via interchangeable modules and optics — to offices, luxury hotels, or high-traffic retail. This slashes distributors' SKUs and capital tied up in stock, making the supply chain more sustainable.
Supporting retrofits:
These features make modernising older buildings easier and more cost-effective. For clients, this is not an expensive add-on but a built-in pathway to meet stricter EPC ratings and decarbonisation audits.
Smart Connectivity
This theme centres on intelligent networking of systems, trades, and data to boost efficiency and control. Our Tuya-based smart solutions fit perfectly into the digital evolution of buildings.
Versatile connectivity:
The A-ONE Smart Recessed Spot series supports dual WiFi + Bluetooth, allowing seamless group control via smartphone or remote cloud management across sites.
Colour and mood flexibility:
Precise RGB control (16 million colours) and colour temperature switching from warm white to cool white (2700K–5700K) allow the light to adapt flexibly to different times of day and user needs.
Seamless integration for commercial projects:
Our downlights fully support DALI dimming and integrate smoothly with systems like France's GTB, meeting strict requirements for public-building smart networking.
Living Light
This theme places light quality at the heart of architecture, workplaces, and urban spaces. We brought this to life through high-quality, human-centric lighting (HCL).
Visual comfort and well-being:
Our Anti-glare Downlight series achieves UGR <19 with recessed sources and precise cut-off angles, delivering soft, non-glaring light ideal for offices and homes.
Natural dimming transitions:
DTW (Dim-to-Warm) technology mimics traditional halogen lamps — as brightness decreases, the colour temperature warms — creating cosy atmospheres and supporting biological rhythms.
Superior colour rendering:
CRI >90 ensures accurate, lifelike reproduction of interior details, meeting the highest demands in premium retail and display.
Flexible space adaptation:
Tiltable designs and adjustable beam angles allow real-time changes from ambient to accent lighting, turning light into a tool for spatial definition and beauty.
Easier installation:
Loop-in/loop-out terminals cut single-fixture wiring time by nearly 30%, minimising on-site errors and delivering a true "plug-and-play" experience.
Safety and durability:
Our Fire-rated downlights comply with standards like UK Building Regulations Part B, while IP65 protection ensures reliable performance in damp or dusty environments — protecting lives and reducing long-term maintenance costs.

Exchange, Practice, and Takeaways
